Get ready for some fresh and fruity flavors! Our berry and walnut salad is not only gorgeous to look at, but it’s also packed with crisp, light textures and antioxidants. This family-friendly recipe only takes 10 minutes to throw together, making it the perfect side dish for a number of warm weather occasions.

Warm Weather Salads

Enjoy this berry salad for lunch or dinner!

Warmer weather means fresh and light recipes that will keep you cool! I often go for crisp, chilled salads, such as this 6-ingredient Mediterranean Salad or this Quinoa Salad recipe. Here, we’ve put together another amazing chilled salad with fresh, fruity, and nutty flavors that will keep you feeling cool and light on summer days. And like we said, this salad is perfect for a number of occasions. Serve it as part of your brunch spread, at an afternoon picnic, or as a summery side at dinner time. We even like to pack this salad as a weekday lunch! And if you’re searching for a little more protein, you can toss some grilled chicken onto it! Just keep in mind that if you are making this salad ahead of time, don’t add the dressing until you are serving. Because after all, nobody likes soggy salad!

Berrylicious Flavors

We love serving this fresh and fruity recipe at picnics!

This berry and walnut salad brings fresh and sweet flavors from it’s very berry ingredients. It calls for strawberries and blueberries, however, feel free to add in any variety of fresh berry! You can swap in blackberries or raspberries, or if you only have access to one type of berry, stick to that. While frozen berries are a great option for some berrylicious recipes, try to use fresh berries for this dish as the frozen ones can affect the texture and make the salad soggy.

Antioxidant Packed Goodness

This yummy salad is actually perfect for brunch, too!

Many ingredients in this recipe will give you a nice antioxidant boost. Berries are super high in vitamin C, which is immune boosting and supports healthy hair and skin. Meanwhile, spinach packs a high fiber, high vitamin A punch– both important for healthy digestion. Even walnuts offer some antioxidants in the form of vitamin E, also supporting good immune function and cell production.

Toss Up These Berries and Walnuts

This yummy salad looks and tastes like summer.

It’s so easy to create this fruity berry and walnut salad. Start by creating the berry dressing. To do this, add all of the dressing ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Then, add strawberries, blueberries, goat cheese, baby spinach, and chopped walnuts to a large bowl. Gently toss until it’s well mixed, then drizzle with berry dressing. Gently toss again until the dressing is evenly distributed and dig in!

Berry Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 10 blueberries
  • 4 strawberries

Salad

  • 1 cup strawberries fresh, sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries fresh, whole
  • 1/4 cup goat cheese crumbled
  • 3 cups baby spinach
  • 3 tablespoons walnuts chopped
  • Add all of the dressing ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

  • Add strawberries, blueberries, goat cheese, baby spinach, and chopped walnuts to a large bowl. Gently toss until it’s well mixed.

  • Drizzle with berry dressing. Gently toss again until well covered and enjoy!
