Just 8 months after opening a relaxed Chowder House subsequent door, Scott’s Seafood restaurant of San Jose has expanded with a next eatery just fifty percent a mile away.

The Scott’s Chowder Residence in close proximity to San Pedro Sq. opens to diners this 7 days with clam chowder, lobster bisque, seafood gumbo — and some new culinary inspiration.

Pointed out seafood chef Laurent Manrique of San Francisco has partnered with Scott’s owner Steve Mayer and government chef Sammy Reyes on this enterprise. Manrique headed the kitchen area at Campton Position, then held the government chef placement at Aqua when that restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars in 2007 and 2008. He at present is the co-operator of the French bistro Cafe de la Presse.

Mayer, who began doing work with Scott’s in 1980 right before turning out to be the San Jose restaurant’s owner, claims Reyes and Manrique give him the workforce he requires to expand the rapid-casual side of the small business. Next up will be a Scott’s Chowder Residence on Grant Avenue in San Francisco, followed by a cafe in Palo Alto.
